In complying with the Surface Rent Agreement, Foison Minerals SL Limited, on Saturday, 12th July 2025, paid its annual surface rent to landowning families and the community development fund that would be deposited at the bank.

Prior to the official disbursement, a brief meeting was held with the Paramount Chief, Community Development Committee, and the company where Foison Minerals' Deputy General Manager, Mr. Joseph Nanah praised the committee's organization and acknowledged their collaboration with the company.

Mr. Nanah officially announced the forthcoming surface rent payment and sought the blessings of Paramount Chief Alfred Saidu N'domawa Banya for its disbursement. In response, PC Banya welcomed the company and commended its positive impact within the Chiefdom, expressing hopes for continued cooperation.

Highlighting Foison Minerals' exemplary compliance, PC Banya noted the company's outstanding performance in crop compensation payments and surface rent obligations. Members of the Community Development Committee also lauded the company for its adherence to legal requirements and strong community relations. The members highlighted concerns, particularly regarding road maintenance and proposed stipends for committee members.

In addressing these concerns, Mr. Nanah reaffirmed the company's commitment to legal compliance and community welfare. He assured the committee of management's engagement to explore provisions for monthly, quarterly, or yearly stipends.

Following the meeting, surface rent payments were disbursed to landowning families, and the community development fund was handed in to the Paramount Chief and Committee Members at the Chiefdom's Barray which would later be deposited at the bank.
