On 22nd March 2025, Foison Resources SL Limited donated twenty bags of rice along with essential cooking condiments to the people of Semabu Village, Sogbeni Chiefdom, Bonthe District. The gesture, aimed at supporting the poor and needy during the holy month of Ramadan, was presented at the village mosque.
Handing over the items to the Town Chief, Imam, and community members, Fatmata Tarawally, Acting Site Manager and Geologist for Unit 1 in Tihun, emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a period when Muslims worldwide fast, reflect, and give zakat to those in need. She noted that the donation forms part of Foison’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), underscoring the company’s belief that supporting communities during Ramadan fosters generosity, love, and stronger community relations.
The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation to the company, acknowledging that the support would greatly assist them in observing the holy month successfully.
