FOISON RESOURCES SL LIMITED DONATES SIX MOTORBIKES TO SECTION CHIEFS IN JONG CHIEFDOM

Matru Jong, Bonthe District – Foison Resources (SL) Limited has donated six motorbikes to six Section Chiefs in Jong Chiefdom, Bonthe District, demonstrating its continued commitment to supporting traditional leadership and promoting community development within its operational areas.

The motorbikes were officially presented during a ceremony held at the Court Barray in Matru Jong on 3 June 2026. The donation fulfilled a request made by the late Paramount Chief Sheriff, who had appealed to the company to provide transportation for the Section Chiefs to facilitate the effective discharge of their responsibilities across the chiefdom.

Speaking at the presentation, the company's Public Relations Officer, Maimunatu Bah, said the donation underscores Foison Resources (SL) Limited's commitment to fulfilling its promises and responding to the needs of its host communities.

She noted that traditional leaders play a vital role in maintaining peace, fostering unity, and supporting local development, adding that the company remains committed to working closely with community stakeholders to advance sustainable development initiatives.

Ms. Bah expressed confidence that the motorbikes would improve the mobility of the Section Chiefs and enhance their capacity to serve their respective sections more effectively.

Receiving the motorbikes on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Chiefdom Speaker and Acting Paramount Chief of Jong Chiefdom, Francis Kpanabom, thanked Foison Resources (SL) Limited for the timely intervention.

He commended the company for honouring the request of the late Paramount Chief and reaffirmed the chiefdom's appreciation for the company's continued investment in community development. He added that the donation would not only strengthen the work of the Section Chiefs but also serve as a fitting tribute to the late Paramount Chief's vision of empowering traditional leadership.

Chief Kpanabom further assured the company of the chiefdom's continued cooperation in fostering a peaceful, stable, and enabling environment for development and investment.

The donation forms part of Foison Resources (SL) Limited's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, through which the company continues to implement initiatives that strengthen local institutions and contribute to the socio-economic development of its host communities.
